Godzilla Smashes...but It's for Charity

Our friends at IDW are sponsoring a charity event that happens to be a lot of fun. Earlier this year, IDW began a promotion where retailers around the world could have their stores smashed by Godzilla and put on the cover of Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters. After the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan, they're now releasing Godzilla: 100 Cover Charity Spectacular, a collection of the 100 covers done for the event.

Saturday Is Free Comic Book Day

Tomorrow is Free Comic Book Day (and they're celebrating their 10th anniversary! Congrats, guys!). Held the first Saturday in May each year, FCBD drives tons of people into their local comic shops to get free comics and celebrate big events going on at the store. Participating comic shops often have games, events, contests, signings, and more going on, so it's worth the trip in a multitude of ways.
