I sincerely hope this award gives Ms. McNeil's novel some attention. Contests seem to be such a great way to separate quality graphic novels from the not so good. I'm disappointed that there are not more book awards for graphic novels. Perhaps it's because graphic novels are an emerging medium in the U.S. What are the other reputable book awards for graphic novels?
