The New Superman-Batman Movie Is Almost Here

Warner Home Video has been ramping up the prepromotion for the upcoming Superman/Batman: Public Enemies (see our Books to Movies page for a plot description), and the more I hear, the more I like it. The movies coming out from Warner (based, naturally, on their DC Comics properties) have been getting steadily better and better, with more mature plots, wonderfully moody animation, and vastly underrated scores and vocal casting. The new images released (see below) are only whetting my appetite even more. So here's a thought: Considering how incredible the Justice League-based stuff made by these animation writers and producers is, what about letting them take a chance on a live-action movie?

And now for the images. Enjoy! The movie is coming out September 29.

I'm as big a fan of the DCAU as anybody, but I do wish they'd make these cartoons a bit longer. Superman/Batman: Public Enemies is a whopping 67 minutes with credits. I'd prefer my animated features not be shorter than a Mike Tyson fight and/or bathroom break.
