Not the sequel to the movie. Not yet anyway. This one’s a new TV show, and it’s almost about an Iron Boy.

Nicktoons is premiering its new Iron Man: Armored Adventures this Friday, April 24. In this version, Tony Stark is still a billionaire and a genius inventor, but he’s also a teenager. After the death of his father, Tony is left critically injured and only his most recent invention—a high-tech red-and-yellow armored suit—will save his life.
 
There will be some familiar faces, even if the show doesn’t quite align with the comics or the movie. Rhodey, Pepper, and Obadiah Stane are all on hand, for example. The series is slated for 26 episodes for now, airing Fridays at 7 p.m. Eastern time.
 
Based on the excellent job Nicktoons has done on Wolverine and the X-Men, Iron Man: Armored Adventures has great potential.
