Seymour Chwast is a graduate of the Cooper Union. He is a founding partner of the celebrated Push Pin Studios, whose distinct style has had a worldwide influence on contermporary visual communications. In 1985, the name was changed to the Pushpin Group. Chwast is the studio's director. Chwast has illustrated more than 30 books for children and has created several graphic adaptations of classic works, including DANTE'S DIVINE COMEDY, THE CANTERBURY TALES, THE ODYSSEY, and A CONNECTICUT YANKEE IN KING ARTHUR'S COURT. He lives in New York City.
