Also, if you were at a party anything like the one I attended, you’re recovering from the excessive eating that went on during the game. Seriously, Super Bowl Sunday has taken on the tone of Thanksgiving in terms of the quantity of food prepared. Carol threw a party at her house, and she thinks they can live off the leftovers for a week. She also marveled how Party City, the party store in this area, managed to become Giants Super Bowl Headquarters when just two weeks before the game, it was not guaranteed that they were playing. She’s imagining stores in San Francisco and Baltimore with lots of extra shelf space as a result of the game being played between New York and Boston.
